7 green flags when interviewing with companies
a list of positive indicators in the recruiting process (as a candidate)
This is the first post since a while. As you might know, I’m currently not employed - but still busy. At times, I stress myself too much because of all the tasks and ideas that I have, but I’m learning to slow down and take more breaks. Also, I’m trying not to measure myself by my level of productivity every day.
The good thing is: I discovered my huge supply of intrinsic motivation. I work on cool stuff, without anyone telling me to do so, and without being paid for it.
Still, I’d like to join a company soon, to be part of a great team and to have a positive impact as a Product Manager/Owner. Get in touch, if you know of a good place to work (in Switzerland)!

I collected a list of positive indicators when interviewing with a company. Here are 𝟕 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐬 that I notice during the recruiting process:
🟩 They are 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 and tell me about the expected challenges openly
🟩 They talk about remote work in a way that indicates a culture of 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭
🟩 They introduce me to the 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, giving them a chance to be involved in finding their new team member
🟩 Their behavior matches their 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 (e.g. they say that feedback culture is important to them - and then respond well to a suggestion that I make)
🟩 There is 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 in leadership positions and some people in key positions work part-time
🟩 They challenge the status quo, do experiments, and therefore seem to embrace 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞
🟩 They foster a culture of 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (people development budget and examples of how people spend this budget)
